So I officially detest ear infections with a passion. It looks like Olivier is not over his infection (the latest one) yet, while he isn't crying, he is continually pulling on his ears. All. The. Time. Poor little guy. I'm going to try and get Jonathan to call the doctors today to take him in and get checked because the poor boy needs to have some decent amount of time without his ears hurting. And we wont be able to make our appointment with the ENT until mid-November. I just want my happy baby back, the one who doesn't scream and pull his ears. I'm pretty sure his whining lately is because of his ears. Like 95% sure.
Last week was my first week at my new job and it went great! This week will be my first week at my actual store. I trained at the La Senza in Gatineau since we don't have a manager at mine so this week I am finally in my store. It sucks a little because I got used to the girls at the other store and now I have to get used to these girls now. The manager who trained me will be spending 2 days a week at my store for a few weeks to help me adjust since apparently my store is....a bit of a mess apparently. Or something like that. This way I'm not too overwhelmed going in and end up quitting because they like me apparently lol. I laugh because it's now weird to be liked and wanted where you are working. And that's sad, because I used to love working at my old job. Oh well, its their loss!

I've got the magic in me
My poor, poor sweet baby. He's sick. Again. I swear its never ending. This past month has been his worst month yet, by far. Three ear infections. Before you go like, Whaaaa? Three? I thought he had one that wouldn't go away? Well let me explain. Let's start with today's events shall we? Because I just had a peachy keen day, how about you? I hope you can smell that sarcasm a mile away. Saturday and Sunday Olivier was the happiest baby on the face of the planet. Laughing his head off, being a little devil and just being happy to not be in pain anymore. Well it lasted less than 48 hours after his last does of antibiotics. Then, at 1 am last night, he woke up. Crying. Again. Pulling his ears. Again. So at 7 we packed up, dropped Jonathan off at work and off Ollie and I went to CHEO to get this taken care of ASAP. Again. We went through registration just fine (although the intake nurse was the same as last time and I was not fond of her). Then we waited, not too long, but long enough. Finally a doctor came in. Well a first year resident. I swear to god it was his first day out of med school. He did the usual, asking questions (he asked the same question 5 times and I repeated 5 times, before he would realize I answered his questions) and then he looked in Olivier's ears. First he said the right side was a little pink with a little fluid. Not bad though. Then came the left which I was sure he was going to jump back from in terror. Oh no, there was a wax buildup. So off he went to talk to his boss then came back to clean it out. Sooooo didn't work so he went off to get the stuff he needed to flush it. Partly worked so then he tried the scraper again. And he did it, but managed to cut Olivier in the process and his ear was bleeding all day because of it. So now he had a clear view. Nothing, just a little bit of fluid but nothing else so it was fine. Hmmmm, this didn't sit well with me. Olivier is not a generally fussy baby. He's a happy baby who doesn't wine or complain or cry for no reason. We weren't getting antibiotics or an ENT referral. As soon as I was in the parking lot I was planning on calling his doctor, who's office was open by this time. I called 10 minutes later and left a message, by the time I got home and Ollie down for a nap (literally took 2 minutes since he was exhausted) the phone was ringing, not his doctor, her receptionist making an appointment in 30 minutes time. Usually Dr Besner calls and asks questions to determine if she needs to see Olivier, she didn't do that this time, he was going in ASAP. One look in each ear, and my little man has a double ear infection and a referral to an ENT. So much for CHEO saying he was fine and didn't need anything. Olivier is now on his third round of antibiotics in a month, each time a different one since the amoxil has no effect on him anymore, and the clavulin didn't really work either. As she talked with me she said she is taking each time we saw someone as a separate ear infection because each time a different ear was affected than the last time. Or in his case, 2 times he had both ears infected. My poor baby, if we had waited 2 more days like the resident said he would have been in so much pain because Dr Besner was like, If his ears look this bad after only a few hours of showing symptoms imagine in two days? At the hospital we didn't even see the actual doctor, he never went to check the residents diagnosis. Idiots. But at least now we are going to be seeing someone who may be able to help Olivier.
I quit my job on Friday! Why you ask? Well I got the job at La Senza! Yay for me! I start tomorrow, my training is in Gatineau, and then next week I will be at the store that is a 5 minute walk from my house. I can go outside on the porch and see the store. I'm so excited! I was so happy to quit Domain des Trembles, you really have no idea. It was just a horrible place to be. The management didn't care at all about the employees, they played favorites all the time, if they didn't like you, or you had a mind of your own and thought on your own, you were in the dog house at every occasion. There was a server who left this week and I know of at least 3 or 4 other people who are looking for other jobs and are interviewing. I felt sad leaving on Friday though, it was a place I used to love working so much and I really did love the residents, I just couldn't work for Allegro anymore. But I'm moving on and up!
On Sunday we went for a walk with Chantal, Tony and the kids and Amelie came with us. This is the second weekend in a row we've walked from the Gatineau side over to the Byward Market and spent the morning there, usually about 3 or 4 hours I think, yesterday we started at 9.30 and got back to the car at around 1.30. We had a ton of fun and Olivier got his halloween costume! A Dalmatian, from Old Navy. He looks cute. We just put it on him quickly to make sure it fit (it was a 6-12 months, but the boy is so small, and he lost weight in the last week too, about a pound, from being sick off of the clavulin) so I snapped a few pictures.

Take a breath, take it deep
Ugh. I feel like I'm on a never ending roller coaster which always winds me back up at CHEO. I was back there on Friday night with Ollie. Stupid ear infection. We aren't sure if it just never went away or if it's a new one. The last time we were there they said he may end up needing tubes. Well Friday we got a new antibiotic, Clavulin, which is a double antibiotic, it also has amoxicillian in it, well last night Ollie started to have diarrhea, which is a side effect, but they said if it gets severe or watery then thats not good. Well guess what it was straight from the start? Ugh poor baby. So now we are going back tomorrow. I want to see the ENT while we are there, to see if there can be anything done or what the circumstances are for tubes because its not fun for him to be on antibiotics every month almost or in pain, which I'm pretty sure he's starting to adjust to having.
Last week I had a couple job interviews. One with Masha Krupp which does translation. My interview was just for admin stuff and I thought it went really well, and she said by Friday I would hear something. Well we are Monday and nothing. I'm disappointed, since the woman said she really liked me. Then on Friday I had another one with La Senza for an assistant manager position. That one went well too. But of course as the rest of the day wore on and I didn't get a call from Masha Krupp when I thought that went well I was wondering if La Senza was going to be the same thing. Until last night. I was on Facebook and one of my old bosses (well the only one I have on Facebook lol) messaged me to say he had gotten a call on Friday (right after my interview) for a reference check, so maybe I really did do a good job. I know its not a sit down job but its good for now, to get out of where I am, plus the salary and hours are decent and the benefits and the fact that its a 5 minute walk from my front door. I can see the back of the store looking out the door actually. I was told mid week so hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday and the job I believe will start next week. I can't wait to quit my job now. If I get the job I'm not going for my shifts on Saturday or Sunday. Screw that. lol.
Oh and the most devastating thing happened last week. Ollie got his first hair cut *sobs*. It's not long anymore. It's too short. Of course I lost out on the whole opinion thing, almost every one in our families was like he needs it cut! So it was either me taking him in or getting home from work one day and finding Jonathan got it cut, at least this way I could keep it from getting too short. But still. I miss his long hair :(

If its love, we decided on forever, no one else could do it better
Sooooo. I haven't slept more than 2 hours a night (broken sleep mind you) since Friday night. Yesterday I took Olivier to CHEO and little mister has a pretty bad ear infection in his left ear and its getting bad in his right. So we're back on antibiotics. Again. Although this time he has no care for the banana flavor. Joys. We had a short wait again, which is so refreshing. Except this time we had to stay for an extra hour after the diagnosis because his fever was so high and his heart rate was in the 200's. Like my friend Sheena says, when Ollie gets sick, he really gets sick. The antibiotics haven't started kicking in yet though so he's still sir cranks a lot.
That's really all I want to talk about today. I wont bother to tell you my back hurts. It does. Even with a constant heating pad on it. Ugh.

I am in misery, there ain't nobody who can comfort me, why wont you answer me, the silence is slowly killing me
I guess the title says is it all. Just add in the words frustration, agony, desperation and any other negative adjective you would like. It seems like things just like getting worse before they ever get close to getting better. Like the saying goes, when it rains, it pours. Where do I even start?
So I guess I will start with my back. I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but I've been seeing a chiropractor since July (Dr. Carrie Johnston at Re:Form Body Clinic ) I was referred by my friend Rahim who is a chiropractor in Toronto, he and Carrie went to school together. At my first appointment she gave me a req for x-rays. It took me two weeks to go and then after that Carrie went away for 2 weeks and then all kinds of things were going on and I never got a chance to go back. Until this week. I got my results on Monday. To be honest, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but they aren't good. By a long shot. I have 4 things wrong with my back. 2 I found out from my appointments with Carrie, which are the least serious. The first is from when I was pregnant. The ligaments in my back stretched, just like everything does when you're preggo, and they haven't gone back to normal, and at this stage, 14 months later, if they haven't they probably wont. Because they are so loose the bones move and thats what causes the pain. After that there are little joints in your vertebrae and when I move in certain positions these joints pinch the coating on a nerve. After that there are two structural problems which showed up on my x-rays. The first is I have degenerative disc disease. Not fun. The disc in my L5-S1 is thinning. Chances are it will get much worse. After that I have an over exaggerated curve in my back which is causing a flattening in my vertebrae. The curve is kind of like the opposite of scoliosis (which my youngest brother Marc-Andre has). Instead of the curve going to the side, it goes inwards (towards my stomach if that makes much sense). At this point, its not bad enough to need surgery, but chances are in the future I will. Which means it will get worse. There isn't much that I can do. I have physio exercises to do, and I have to change my job to a sit down one otherwise I could end up in a wheel chair. Yea.
Speaking of job. We have a new chef at work, Roberto Mochi. He's Italian. He's a jerk. The first time I was there, I showed up for my shift at supper and he looked a Jocelyn and asked if I was going to be by myself and if that was wise. As if I needed a baby sitter. Yea. I did 2 years in cooking school, Jocelyn didn't even finish high school. Anyways. This week he called me into his office to speak. Everyone knew my x-ray results and someone mentioned it to Roberto. One of the first things he said to me when I went into his office was that he didn't believe my doctor gave me good advice on what to do concerning my future and my health. He said if I lost weight, my back would be just fine. Well that meeting went downhill from there and at one point I was pretty much ready to quit right then and there. I made a complaint with the director, Roberto said he said none of this (including other complaints which I had) and Marc (the director) suggested it was just a misunderstanding. When someone says, and I quote pretty much word for word, If you lose weight, your back problems will get better. I walk 30 minutes a day and my heart problems got better because of it. It's kinda hard to misunderstand that. Just sayin. And then Roberto had the audacity to say, I will forget to you wrote this letter, as if I was lying. Lovely. Make me hate you even more why don't you? My schedule has changed as well because of this. I got stuck with all the crap shifts. I will never get to see Jonathan. And no one is calling for jobs. And I can't go to school to get the experience I need because I don't have the money because I don't have a different job and I need the school to get a different job. See the vicious circle here? It's possible I mentioned this already. I'm just bitter and upset about this whole thing. I'm dreading work now. I get anxiety attacks and depression whenever I think about it. Like right now. It's putting me in a lovely mental state I tell ya.
What else this week? Well. Last night I went to bed pretty early, before 9, because I wasn't feeling well. I woke up at 10.30 with Ollie crying. And crying. Nothing Jonathan or I did helped. Finally he fell back asleep. Only to wake up 30 minutes later, crying again, even harder. It went on like this all night long. I think Jonathan and I got 3 hours of broken sleep all night. At one point I was so desperate I took Ollie out for a drive, at 1 am, to get him to fall asleep. He did, 3 times. And woke up crying, 3 times. At 7 he got up for the day. And cried and whined and fussed. He took a 3 hour nap with Jonathan this morning while I laid on the couch watching The Killers (really funny, I recommend it) with my 3rd cup of coffee. All day he was cranky, until some point this afternoon when he was only semi cranky. He has a bit of a cold but nothing worse than he's had in the past (he's had worse actually) and he had a fever again (by now we are fever experts). So far tonight he's doing good, but we haven't reached 10.30 yet so I'm not holding my breath. He will be staying home with me tomorrow though. And I will be keeping the car just in case. One of my bff's Dylan says I worry too much, but I can't help it.
So I'm going to end this with a little positive. Yesterday we went to Bayshore to get Ollie his clothes for fall at the Childrens Place and Old Navy. I have to say, my kid has the most stylin clothes ever. I would kill to have as good of a wardrobe has he does. Here are a few pics I took yesterday (before the sickness turned him into the devil child) when we went to go rent the movie!

'Cause it goes on and on and on
So its been a busy few weeks here in our house (or condo, you get my drift) so I haven't had time to update really. First I would just like to say that the month of July was not kind to my poor little booter. First of the month he got his ear infection. On his birthday he got an eye infection. And on his baptism week he got sick again. Wednesday last week I got a call at work from Ollie's daycare, he had a fever, they wanted to make sure it was okay to give him tylenol. When I went to get him after I was done she told me he had diarrhea as well. I thought he was teething. That day he pooped 3 more times and his fever creeped higher. Thursday I stayed home with him. He got worse throughout the day. Friday we went to the doctors. She thought it was just a case of the stomach flu but said if he wasn't feeling better by the next day to take him to the hospital to get checked out because it could be something else. Normally the stomach flu doesn't last that long or have such a high temperature. Next day I was stalling on the hospital. I hate going to the hospital. But I had just taken Ollie's temperature and he pooped pure water onto his change table. Off to the hospital I went, Jonathan stayed home, he was now getting the flu. Lovely. I decided CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) was the best bet. I got there and over all we waited less than 2 hours and were out the door. With a diagnosis of stomach flu. They said if he wasn't better Monday to bring him back. He had his fever longer than expected and higher than expected. Not long after we got home Ollie was feeling better. He was playing and having fun and his fever was GONE. So that evening I went to my Aunt Lises house since my dad was there with my stepmom, sister, grandma, and his other sister and a couple of my cousins were going as well. It was going to be the first time all 3 great grandchildren were going to be together. He was fine for almost 3 hours when I noticed Olivier getting warm. I left right away hoping to head off the fever. No such luck. We got the highest temperature to date. Lovely. Next morning he was still warm but not bad. As the morning went on, it went away. I decided to take Ollie out for some fresh air and we went for a walk at Lac Leamy, to watch the finals for the water ski jumping in the Jeux du Quebec. We were there a little over an hour and headed back home. As soon as we got home he started getting warm again. Lovely. That night we thought Ollie's fever had FINALLY broken. At 4.30 I woke up to change a diaper and he wasn't warm, at all. 5 he woke up crying, with a high fever again. WTF. So we gave him some tylenol, a bottle and I procrastinated on the hospital again. Finally I decided to get it over with and back to CHEO we went. Less than an hour later we were out the door again, this time with the diagnosis of Hand, Foot and Mouth. No daycare while a fever is present. Lovely. And this time I actually mean it. I stayed home from work Wed and today with Ollie (and during the day Monday and Tuesday but I worked the evening shift). He was a total crankpot today but I would so rather deal with that than go back to work tomorrow. But I know his babysitter misses him. She has called me twice asking how he is and whenever I call to tell her he wont be there that she says she misses him and is sad not to see him. I now officially love his babysitter to death.
Other than that not much else except family family and more family! I'll try and post some pics and a better update tomorrow after work.

The rest is still unwritten
So this past week was Canada Day and my mom's birthday. She wanted to celebrate at the cottage so off we all went, trekking out to the middle of nowhere's to spend a few days at the cottage. My mom, Amelie, Don and Grandma went up on Wednesday, but since I was working on Thursday me, Jonathan, Olivier and Marc-Andre went on Thursday after I got off work. We had lots of fun. We showed up around supper time, with the cake (which is a whole other story) and bags in hand. Ollie had a blast and didn't want to sleep. He woke up around midnight screaming. Finally we got him back to sleep but he didn't sleep well at all. The next morning he was congested too. On Friday we went into Maniwaki to pick up a few things, lets just say I was less than impressed with Maniwaki, their Canadian Tire was smaller than the pharmacy for crying out loud! And how people can survive without a WalMart is beyond me. While we were in Maniwaki we (me, Don and Amelie) were just supposed to pick up a little pool for Olivier, some graham crackers, chocolate, Kleenex with lotion for the baby, a magazine for Amelie and a head band for me...200$ and 2 hours later we were on our back to the cottage lol. We were a little disappointed by the pool. The picture on the box made it look big, this was a tiny little pool, but it served its purpose and Olivier had fun in it.
While Olivier took his nap me and Amelie went fishing off the end of the dock. I was getting discouraged after she had caught her 2nd fish and I had caught none. That was until I hooked something. At first I thought I had just gotten caught on the bottom but then Amelie, who had stood up by this point, started screaming I had a fish. So then we started screaming for Marc-Andre to come down and help us since me and Amelie, we don't fish. I ended up getting a big bass, at least 3 lbs, closer to 4 lbs. We got a few pictures then let him go.
That night Olivier woke up again screaming. This time he was tugging his ear. We didn't want to go to the ER in Maniwaki. Not at all. ER's usually mean a 14 hour wait minimum, so not what we wanted to do. But off we went anyways, back to Maniwaki. We pulled up to the hospital....it was empty. There were 2 people in the waiting room, both healthy and watching the FIFA World Cup. Okay then. We waited a total of 20 minutes, including our assessment time, before we were walking out of the hospital with a prescription for antibiotics for Ollie's ear infection. Let me just say that 1. the dr was a jerk. He never spoke to me, only to Jonathan and when Olivier threw up after he looked in his throat, I caught it in my hand so he wouldn't get covered in milk vomit, and the dr didn't even give me a kleenex, he just washed his hands and that was it. and 2. he doesn't deal with kids often, he practically had Jonathan holding the baby in a headlock to look in his ears and mouth.
The next day, Saturday, we came home, bringing Amelie with us. We had a few errands to run and wanted a day to relax before going back to work. And we went and saw Chantal and Tony as well at their new house so we had a great long weekend!
You're the only thing that drives me crazy
So I feel like I am dying. Literally. I woke up Sunday morning in pain. Horrid, terrible, excruciating pain. In my back. So bad I can't bend over, at all, turn side to side, lay down on my back, walk up and down stairs and do pretty much anything. I've been taking pain meds but they help for like a nano second, and I can only take them every 8 hours. The tiniest twinge makes me want to cry and the spasms are pure hell. Last night I got into bed, an hour after taking my pills and had spasms for over 20 minutes. I didnt even do anything to tweak my back either. It's been horrid since my c-section but the last couple of months were really good, only a small twinge here and there. Now I think I need to see a chiropractor. My friend Rahim is one, but in Toronto. He recommended a friend of his here in Ottawa for me to see. I have a feeling its something not good because they had such a hard time with my spinal, there were mutterings from the anesthesiologist about my vertebrae being too compacted, so its making me think I may be getting arthritis in my back or a degenerated disc or something equally horrid sounding. I hope a little physio helps get rid of it and fast because I can't stand the pain. There are times I'm walking in the apartment and my legs just want to give out under me from a twinge in my back, which makes me really nervous. I hope I can get in to see the chiro soon that's all I gotta say.
This weekend we are going away, well tomorrow after work actually. We are going to my moms cottage to celebrate her birthday, the whole family will be there and there will be people sleeping in tents, but not us. We get one of the beds in the house. And Ollie has his playpen, and high chair booster seat thingy there. It'll be fun
Yesterday was Ollie's follow up with the dr. She was ecstatic he was doing so well, he gained a half pound in 3 weeks, and is drinking so well and eating well. We really think the old daycare was part of the problem because we have had no problems since switching, everything is great and he is gaining weight well and drinking from his bottles taking homo milk, regular food, napping and is happy. He's not burnt out when he gets home either, which is nice.

Competition? Doesn't that mean we compete? How does that work when I always win??
It's pretty much official now. I will be going back to school part time in the fall. Nights. One or two classes depending on the amount of hours (some are only once a week, others are twice). I'm excited, while I like my job and the people I work with, it's definitely not what I want to be doing in 5 years that's for sure, let alone in 15.
Jonathan and I have been talking about what we want to do this summer. We don't have a lot of money at the moment so we are just thinking a long weekend someplace. I want to go to Boston. My friend Dylan is there, and I love him to death, he's like a brother to me (and I have several so its not like I'm lacking in brothers either lol) or to New York, maybe Syracuse, where my friend Shawna lives with little Miss Ireland (who was born 2 weeks before Ollie). I don't know, we shall see what we come up with. I'd like to do both if I can get away with it, one in early summer and one in late summer maybe. But I still have to find out when my dad will be here because I don't want to go away when he is here, plus he wants to see the baby I'm sure (right dad? I know you're reading this lol). And as the title implies, I usually win so it just may happen

When I get sick its not done half way!
Sooo. Apparently, according to the nurse and the doctor that saw me today, my cold and Ollie's cold= not the same thing. While he has just a cold I have Bronchitis and Sinusitis (otherwise known as a sinus infection). I got sent home from work this morning after 20 minutes and the nurse telling me to go to a walk in clinic. So off I went. 8 hours later I find out I need antibiotics for the next 10 days and I need to take my puffers, both of them, every day for at least the next 10 days, 4 times for one and 2 for the other a day.
Ollie sprouted tooth numero dos during the night, a night of crying every 20 minutes. Needless to say, I have not been getting much sleep.

Is that scale righ? Are you sure? Wow.
So we just got home from Ollie's 9 month check up! No vaccines this time, just a visit with Dr. Besnair to make sure he's doing well. Before we even went into her office she said she didn't even think the visit was necessary since Olivier didn't want to stay on my lap, so I held his fingers and he walked around the waiting room. She said walking at 9 months was huge. So we were in the room and he again didn't want to stay in my lap...he rarely does anymore, he want to investigate and the Dr's office was a new place to investigate so he went off crawling around her. He is perfect, except for his cold. At 9 months he only weighs 19 lbs 2 oz (between the 10th and 25th percentile) and is 28.5 inches long (perfectly average at 50%). He can start to have homo milk BUT since he doesn't like to take his bottle at daycare, just at home and we're lucky to get 3 in a day, she wants him to stay strictly formula for a little while longer. She's not worried about his weight, she said if he's hungry feed him, if he's not, don't (duh lol) but that he is eating enough food so its nothing to worry about. He started to eat what we eat this week....Shepherds Pie on Sunday and Monday, Tuesday we had some chicken, and yesterday some spaghetti (which was not a hit. We cut it up small so he could feed himself....he dumped it on himself and played with it while screaming lol oh well maybe next time)

So this means I'm going to win the lottery right?
Well they say bad things come in 3's. That after a ton of bad and stressful things in your life happening at once you're due for good luck right? So does this mean I'm going to win the jackpot? First my mom's heart surgery. Then Marc-Andre's back surgery. Then my Aunt Debbie has to have an MRI for a possible aneurysm, then my work stuff, and now my grandfather is dying. I found out over the weekend my grandfather was admitted to the hospital for difficulty breathing. They found a polyp or mass or something on his lungs and also drained more than a liter of fluid from his lungs and did a biopsy on Sunday. Yesterday around 6 I was giving the baby a bath when my mom called. The results were in and my Grandpa Wiseman has terminal lung cancer. We don't know yet how long he has left, next week he has an appointment with the oncologist to figure everything out I guess. We do know that he must not have a long time because my grandma asked the dr if she should get my uncle Marc to come right away to see grandpa and they said yes you should. I got a hold of Stephane last night and he is going to try and come for a visit as well but my mom wants him to wait until at least next week, Grandpa should be back home by then. We found out tonight that after my grandfather dies my grandma will be going to live with my mom and Don and she is selling the house, I can't blame her, its a pretty big house and if she's along its going to seem even bigger and lonely and more depressing.
On a more positive note, Ollie crawled yesterday for the first time, well more than just one arm movement forward before face planting, and he's also 'walking' around the apartment if we hold his hands. And the tooth! almost through by the looks of it, but now that I've said that, its not going to show up, he'll be 9 months and toothless.

Just the two....errrr three of us!
So when I was 5 months pregnant my aunt told us about my cousins baby always sleeping in bed with him and his fiancee. Jonathan I were adamant from the first day Olivier would sleep in his own crib. And he did! From the first night he was home, thats where he slept. And he was a pretty good sleeper too! We had the odd night where one of us would sleep with him on our chest on the couch but never in bed. Until the first time he got a cold, we were in Halifax and my dads guest room as 2 twin beds, Ollie slept with me in my bed and after that back into his own. No problems. Well these past 2 weeks it's all changed. 2 weeks ago Olivier got a cold. A bad one, he was so congested in his nose he wouldn't sleep anywhere, not in his crib or his swing (which we still use on occasion). So Jonathan would lay down with him so Olivier would nap. No big deal it was just a bit harder to put him down for a nap but for the most part the night time was okay. Then 2 days later, he woke up one night and would not go back to bed. I had to work the next day so I brought him into bed with us...big mistake. He has now slept with us every night since. He was back to napping in his bed...until this past weekend when he got yet another cold (stupid day care germs!) this time he had a really bad cough and chest congestion. No napping anywheres but in our bed. Last night I though we had a breakthrough! I was able to put Olivier to sleep and in bed by 7.30! Then he woke up up screaming an hour later after coughing. Jonathan went to bed with him. He loves sleeping in bed with us, he's out like a light within minutes and sleeps great. He wakes up now and then but he just sits up between the two of us and plays with the blankets or crawls on one of us. We've created a co-sleeping monster.
Today me and Olivier went for a walk and found a park! The first visit to a park! He went in the swings for the first time and loved it! I'll put a few more pictures at the end of the post. The faster and higher he went the more and more he laughed. I believe as Ollie gets older we will be making many hospital visits because I swear he's a daredevil. His absolute favorite thing is to be thrown around, and pretend to 'fall'. We pretend to throw him in the air and then drop him (from a foot off the bed) onto the bed and you'll never hear this kid laugh louder. He'll be jumping up and down in his crib and fall over and think its hilarious. What have I gotten myself into? lol
